Book Fair raises over £500

3rd February 2016
  • The students of Shipham First School have had yet another busy week this week. Thanks to overwhelming support from parents, the book fair raised a fantastic £500 that will be spent on books for the school. The school would like to thank everyone who supported the book fair on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Thursday, the children of Blackrock class travelled over to Fairlands for a multi-sports morning consisting of a variety of sports sessions, including football and basketball. The year 3s and 4s were looked after and organised perfectly by some of Fairlands year 8 pupils and PE teacher Mrs. Maguire.

Finally, the pupils of Rosewood class have enjoyed drama classes taught by a mum and professional drama teacher, Rachael Crosbie. As Rosewood class have been studying some classic children’s literature recently, Mrs Crosbie has incorporated a ‘Traditional Tales’ theme in the classes so the pupils have taken turns playing both the Grandma and the Wolf.
